A few days ago, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat triggered a debate on age as he turns 75 later this year. Bhagwat said that at 75 it is expected that you should make way for others. Dhankhar turned 74 in May this year. Though no age criteria have been defined for any constitutional post, age is a subject on which debate keeps taking place. In all probability, the resignation is going to lead a transformation in the way the BJP and the current government is looking at the future agenda of the party as well as the Viksit Bharat goal envisioned by PM Modi.
