Vadodara: Vadodara Gas Ltd (VGL) has increased gas tariffs for industrial consumers in the city, while keeping rates unchanged for other categories.Industrial users will now pay an additional Rs 2 per standard cubic metre (SCM). Sources said the hike was implemented last week due to emerging supply constraints, with global factors impacting natural gas availability.Officials said the tariff for minimum guaranteed offtake (MGO) customers has been raised from Rs 60 to Rs 62 per SCM, while for non-MGO customers it has increased from Rs 48 to Rs 60 per SCM. VGL currently has around 71 industrial connections in Vadodara. The company has not proposed any hike for domestic or transport segments. Piped natural gas for non-industrial users continues at Rs 52.75 per SCM, while CNG for vehicles is priced at Rs 82.95 per kg.
