Nagpur: A vehicle caught fire at the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) workshop on Ghat Road on Friday afternoon, causing losses worth lakhs of rupees.According to information, the incident occurred around 3.30pm while repair work was being carried out on a RC compactor at the workshop. Sparks flew while mechanic Hemant Kadpe was welding a part of the vehicle, which suddenly triggered a fire.The blaze damaged two tyres, the hydraulic system, brake booster, diesel tank pipe, and other components. Fire brigade personnel from the Cotton Market fire station rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported in the incident.
