Mysuru: Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj on Sunday staged a protest at Hardinge Circle here, demanding LPG supply for autorickshaws. He symbolically pulled an auto using a horse cart, highlighting the crisis faced by drivers.He said LPG shortage has affected nearly 20 lakh auto drivers in Karnataka, pushing their livelihoods to the brink. The crisis has also impacted hotels, with many shutting down and owners unable to pay workers. The former MLA demanded Rs 10,000 compensation for each auto driver and warned of a Karnataka bandh if the govt fails to act. He criticised Union minister Pralhad Joshi for suggesting petrol use, calling it impractical. He also urged chief minister Siddaramaiah to address the issue and accused Congress functionaries of ignoring public problems.
