Ramgarh: Jharkhand Vais Morcha on Sunday voiced concerns against e-commerce platforms selling grocery and household items seeking restrictions on their operations in the interest of small traders here. The outfit is also planning a strike in Delhi later this month. The outfit has alleged that e-commerce platforms are killing business of small traders and street vendors and said nearly 60% of small shopkeepers here are closing their business. Speaking at central committee meeting here on Sunday, president Maheshwar Sahu, said, “The govt should consider adverse impact of e-commerce business on small traders and impose reasonable restrictions. We will stage stir at Jantar Mantar on July 31. Other demands include formation of Vais Commission, bank loan waivers for small traders etc.”
