Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said the state govt would ensure housing for the needy and extend adequate financial assistance for the treatment of those suffering from serious illnesses.During his visit to Gorakhpur, the CM met around 100 people during a Janata Darshan event held at Gorakhnath Temple. Moving among attendees seated near the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan premises, he collected applications and directed administrative and police officials to ensure time-bound, fair and satisfactory redressal of all issues.He also instructed the police to take prompt and strict action in matters related to law enforcement.Yogi emphasized that the govt is committed to extending the benefits of welfare schemes to every eligible beneficiary and ensuring effective resolution of complaints. Responding to a woman’s plea for housing, the chief minister assured that she would be provided a home under a govt scheme. He also reassured those seeking financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses that lack of funds would not hinder medical care. Officials were directed to expedite preparation of estimates for advanced treatment of such patients.The chief minister also handed out chocolates to kids accompanying women and urged them to focus on their studies.
