Kanpur: A UP Board High School exam candidate’s brother was caught writing the exam on his behalf at the Zila Panchayat Uchch Madhyamik Vidyalaya Sarsainavaar exam centre in Etawah, on Wednesday.The incident was revealed during an inspection by the internal flying squad during the first-shift science exam. Legal proceedings were initiated against the youth caught in the act. On Wednesday, the High School science exam was held in the first shift. Information was received that an impersonator was writing the exam. Acting on the information, the school’s internal flying squad reached the classroom and held a thorough screening, in which, it came to light that Sharad, son of Devendra Kumar, was taking the exam on behalf of his brother Abhishek. After verifying the identity card and other documents, he was apprehended on the spot.During questioning, it was found that Sharad was a student of Sant Vivekanand Inter College, Usraahaar. Sub-divisional magistrate of Takha, Shweta Mishra, arrived at the exam centre, while SHO Hakim Singh said a case had been registered against the accused.During UP Board Intermediate sociology exam on Thursday, a solver was caught impersonating for a student from Banke Bihari Inter College Lukhariyai in the Bharthana area. The solver was found suspicious and questioning revealed the truth. SDM Bharthana Kavya C, tehsildar Dilip Kumar and DIOS Atul Kumar Singh reached the exam centre. DIOS said legal action was being taken against the student and the solver.
