Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) officially closed the deadline for the online submission of admission forms for undergraduate (UG) self-financed vocational courses for the academic session 2025-28 on Monday.According to PPU’s dean of students’ welfare (DSW) Rajeev Ranjan, the university is now preparing to release its first merit list on July 24, which will include the names of shortlisted candidates. “Those selected in the first round must complete their admission formalities by July 27, with document validation scheduled for July 28,” he said.For candidates not selected in the first round, a second merit list will be issued on July 30, with admission formalities to be completed by August 3 and document validation to take place on August 4. “The vocational classes will commence from August 5 across all constituent and affiliated colleges falling under the jurisdiction of the university located in Patna and Nalanda districts of the state,” he said.This year, PPU is offering 10,000 seats in various UG vocational courses, which include BCA (bachelor of computer applications), BBA (bachelor of business administration), BSc IT, BSc biotechnology and others. “The minimum eligibility for admission is 45% marks in Class XII examinations,” the DSW said.The vocational courses are aimed at enhancing employment-oriented skills among students and are being offered under a self-financed model. “The university expects a large number of students to benefit from the programme, which includes practical training and industry-relevant curriculum,” he said, adding that further details regarding course allotment, counselling and class schedules will be made available on the university’s official website soon.
