Kolkata: Two flights reached Kolkata from Dubai on Tuesday, including a special flight operated by FlyDubai and a scheduled operation by Emirates Airlines. One more flight, the first operation from Abu Dhabi, was on way to Kolkata when last reports came in. Its estimated time of arrival is around midnight.The two earlier flights flew in 462 passengers and departed with 206 passengers. The flight from Abu Dhabi is a scheduled one by Air Arabia and the first it has operated since the outbreak of the war on Feb 28. In the early hours of Tuesday, the FlyDubai flight from Dubai became the first special unscheduled flight to operate during the ongoing crisis. Flight FZ 8199 arrived at 12.28 am with 151 passengers. Return flight FZ 8200 departed at 2.14 am with 13 passengers. Later in the day, Emirates flight EK 0570 landed at 7.40 am with 311 passengers. Return flight EK 0571 took off at 9.12 am with 193 passengers. Two Emirates flights are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. Now, the only two Gulf carriers that are yet to resume flights to Kolkata are Etihad and Qatar. tnn
