New Delhi: Two men were found dead inside a parked car near a roadside drain in outer north Delhi on Tuesday. The bodies were found after police got information about two persons lying inside the vehicle. The area under the Narela Industrial Area police station.The police team that went to the spot found a white car with its windows shut. “The vehicle was not locked. On checking the car, officers found two men inside, and a foul smell emanating from the vehicle, suggesting that the bodies had been there for a while,” a senior police officer said. “Three liquor pouches were found in the car, two of which were sealed and one was open.”During enquiries and while examining the CCTV footage, police learnt that the vehicle had been parked at the spot since around 2pm the previous day, and no one had been seen entering or leaving it afterwards. The crime team was called to inspect the scene and the bodies were later shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem.The deceased were identified as Vikas (42), a driver and resident of Ambedkar Colony in Khera Khurd, who was in the driver’s seat, and Bijender (36), a plumber of the same locality, who was in the back seat.Police said that the car is owned by one Rakesh Kumar (49), also of Ambedkar Colony, but who originally hails from Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. No visible injury marks were found on the bodies. The cause can be confirmed after the post-mortem examination, police said.
