Ara: Two boys drowned in a pond at Ratanpur village under Mufassil police station of Ara while they were taking bath on Sunday. The deceased have been identified Sudhanshu Kumar (16), son of one Sanoj Kumar of Ratanpur village and his co-villager Mohit Kumar (22), son of late Deepak Kumar Sinha.The mukhiya of Chakiya panchayat, Harendra Singh, who rushed to the spot said, “Some village youths, who knew swimming, jumped into the water to save them, but both had died.” Mufassil SHO Aashish Kumar Sah said, “The bodies have been sent for postmortem to the Sadar Hospital Ara.” In an another incident on Sunday morning on Ara-Buxar four lane road near Belauti high school under Shahpur police station of Bhojpur district, a 45-year-old truck driver Jabbar Singh, a resident of Naglawan village of Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh, died in a road accident. The incident occurred when his truck first collided with another vehicle just then another truck hit it from behind.“We rushed to the spot and the body was extricated with the help of a JCB machine and a gas cutter. We have informed the family members about the accident,” said a ‘Dial 112′ police personnel who was at the spot.
