Times News NetworkLudhiana: Police filed a case against two unidentified persons in the case of a fire at the Focal Point branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank on June 10. CCTV camera footage showed two men setting a security guard’s bike on fire. The bike was parked outside the bank but flames engulfed the bank branch too. The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Dikshit Arora, branch operations manager. In his police complaint, Arora said that he received a phone call from the security agency at around 1.40am on June 10, informing him about a fire at the bank. He said that while the fire was doused, it damaged the bank’s infrastructure, including two split AC units, four surveillance cameras, electrical wiring, a hooter system, and smoke detectors.He added that CCTV camera footage showed two men setting the bike of the bank’s security guard on fire. Investigating officer, ASI Rakesh Kuma, from Focal Point police station, said a case was registered against the accused under Section 327(2) (mischief causing damage by fire or any explosive substance) of BNS.
