Prayagraj: Bodies of two persons, including a woman, were recovered from a mud-filled field at Gohani Kalan village under the limits of Charwa police station in Kaushambi district on Sunday. Upon being alerted, senior cops, including SP (Kaushambi) Rajesh Kumar, along with forces and forensic experts, rushed to the spot and carried out investigations.Police said that the deceased were identified as Gudia Devi (45) and Gore Lal (43), residents of Bhikari Ka Purwa and Gohani, respectively. Both were liquor addicts. Police added that a bike and pouches of liquor were also found near the dead bodies.A senior cop said that while the woman, worked as labourer was living separately from her husband, the deceased man was staying alone as his wife had gone to her parents’ house. He added that autopsy report would clear cause of death. Both were seen purchasing liquor from a local shop on Saturday evening.
