Ludhiana: Rural police have arrested two men following the suspected drug overdose death of 26-year-old Iqbal Singh in Jagraon. The accused, Harpreet Singh and Baljinder Singh, both aged over 30, face charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.Police allege the duo took Singh from his home before providing or administering the fatal dose. Harpreet Singh is reportedly a repeat offender with multiple prior drug trafficking cases. While the deceased had a history of addiction, investigators are now tracing the supply chain to identify the primary dealers. The accused remain in a two-day police remand pending post-mortem results, which will officially confirm the cause of death.
