Dumka: A pilgrim from Kerala suddenly collapsed during darshan at Baba Baidhyanath temple in Deoghar and died during the course of treatment on Friday, police said. E S Narayanan, 75, was a resident of Palakkad district, Kerala.After completing the rituals of offering holy water at the main temple, he proceeded for darshan at other temples inside the same complex when he became ill. “Narayanan sat alongside the priests in the verandah, where he suddenly fell unconscious,” officer-in-charge of Babadham Temple police station, Ravi Thakur said.He was referred to the Deoghar Sadar Hospital from the temple health centre as his condition worsened. Doctors declared him dead.
