New Delhi: Commuters in Delhi are likely to face traffic disruptions along New Rohtak Road over the next few weeks due to ongoing infrastructure work. Authorities are urging people to plan their travel and avoid peak-hour congestion. The restrictions will remain in place till May 17, 2026, impacting a busy stretch used by daily office-goers.According to the Delhi traffic police, the work is being carried out to lay a 220 kV underground cable from Dev Nagar to JB-4 near Idgah. Road-cutting is underway at multiple points, leading to partial narrowing of the carriageway.Barricades have been placed to ensure safety, but these are expected to slow vehicular movement.With the project expected to continue for over a month, authorities emphasise that cooperation from the public will be crucial in maintaining smoother traffic flow during this period.
