New Delhi: Three Class XII students have alleged that they were sexually harassed by their private tuition teacher over the past year in north Delhi’s Burari area. Delhi Police registered an FIR against the accused on Monday following a formal complaint. Police sources said the girls alleged that the teacher threatened to leak their private photos and videos to silence them. He also allegedly threatened to harm their families if they spoke out. The case came to light when the teacher visited the residence of one of the students on Monday. During a confrontation in front of her family, the student disclosed the alleged abuse. Police said he allegedly reacted by locking the family inside their house from the outside and fleeing the scene. Later, neighbours helped the family open the door. The girls reported incidents dating back to Oct 2024. The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Police said the suspect is still on the run and multiple teams have been formed to trace him.
