Kanpur: Tragedy struck on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao around Sunday midnight when two UPSRTC buses, one from Mathura and the other from Agra, crashed into a stationary truck, leaving three people killed and 31 injured. SHO Akhilesh Pandey said preliminary investigation suggests the bus drivers dozed off at the wheel. According to reports, the accidents were caused by drivers allegedly dozing off.Around midnight, a truck was parked on the road near Sirdharpura village when a bus heading to Agra Fort crashed into it, injuring 14 passengers. The injured were rushed to Bangarmau health centre, from where they were referred to the district hospital.The damaged truck was being towed towards Pritampura around 2:30 am when it was rear-ended by another bus bound for Agra Fort, killing three people and injuring 17. Inspector (Kotwali) Akhileshchandra Pandey said one of the deceased was identified as Rajput (20), while efforts are underway to ascertain the identities of the other deceased. tnn
