Thiruvananthapuram: Three men returning from work were killed in a bike accident in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased are Sajin, 21, Rithwik, 22, and Praveen, 23. While Sajin and Praveen were natives of Neyyattinkara, Rithwik hailed from Odisha.The trio were employed at a private hotel in Kaliyakkavilai and were travelling towards city around 1.30am when the accident occurred. According to police, the rider lost control of the vehicle near a curve, allegedly due to speeding. The vehicle first hit the footpath and then rammed two bikes parked nearby. All three sustained critical injuries and were rushed to medical college hospital. However, they succumbed to their injuries shortly after. “We need to check the nearby CCTV camera to confirm the exact cause of the accident,” a police source said. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. Karamana police have registered a case of unnatural death.
