Ara: Police arrested three criminals, including an illegal ammunition seller and a history-sheeter, who had created terror in areas falling under Ara Town police station. The police also seized arms and ammunition from the arrested criminals.Bhojpur SP, Raj, said in a press conference on Monday that acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Ara Town police station house officer (SHO) Devraj Rai, arrested three criminals—Aman Kumar and Golu alias Dinesh of Rambag Dharhara locality under Town police station of Ara and Aman Pathak of Anandnagar locality under the same police station. They used to create terror among the local people and traders by brandishing arms. While one of the arrested criminals is a history-sheeter, another was engaged in selling cartridges. “They were also associated with the gang of notorious criminal Chhotu Mishra, who was killed in an encounter with the police a few months ago,” said the SP.The police seized two pistols, seven live cartridges, four magazines, and two cellphones from their possession. The arrested criminals revealed names of some of their associates. The police are conducting raids to arrest them.A case under relevant sections of the Arms Act was registered with the Ara Town police station in this regard.
