Chitradurga: Kote police in Chitradurga city apprehended three persons for allegedly operating a prostitution racket from a rented accommodation in the Kote police station limits. Based on intelligence, law enforcement officials conducted a raid at a rental property in Jalayakshmi Extension on the evening of June 22. The suspects, identified as Shabeenabanu, Annubhasha, and Tippeswamy, allegedly operated an illegal enterprise by enticing unsuspecting young women and customers. Officers confiscated Annubhasha’s vehicle and three mobile phones during the operation, while rescuing two women from the premises, stated in an official communication from the SP’s office. The operation was executed under the supervision of SP Ranjith Kumar Bandaru, ASP Kumaraswamy, and DSPs Dinakar and Umesh Ishwar Naik. The raid team was headed by Kote station CPI Prakash Gowda Patil, B Rukkamma, and additional personnel.
