Bathinda: Thousands of people, including senior leaders across party lines, gathered to pay tributes to late Congress leader Khushbaz Singh Jattana at his bhog ceremony held at the grain market in Bhagi Wander village near Talwandi Sabo on Sunday.Union minister of state for railways Ravneet Singh Bittu, Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, leader of opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi and several MLAs attended the ceremony and remembered his life.Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal had visited the bereaved family on Saturday. Jattana, who had contested twice from the Talwandi Sabo assembly constituency as a Congress candidate, died in a road accident near Sonipat on April 2.Leaders said the large turnout reflected his popularity and connect with people.
