Ahmedabad: The maximum and minimum temperatures are set to rise across Gujarat from Monday onwards, as indicated in a forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday. According to the forecast, there will be a gradual rise of 3-5 degrees celsius in maximum temperatures and 2-3 degrees celsius in minimum temperatures in the next 4 and 3 days respectively.From March 4 onwards, there are chances of hot and humid weather in coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch, for which a Yellow Alert is issued.On Sunday, the maximum temperature in the city was 34.2 degrees celsius, which was 1.1 degrees higher than normal. Likewise, at 21.2 degrees, the minimum temperature was 4.7 degrees higher than normal. On Monday, the temperatures are likely to be in the same range, according to the forecast.At 36 degrees, Deesa recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state, whereas Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 15.8 degrees.
