Hyderabad: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Monday informed the assembly that 500 acres of land will be allocated near Shamshabad in Bharat Future City to serve as a central hub for bullet train projects, positioning Telangana as a key node in future high-speed rail networks.He said the Central govt, in the Union budget 2026–27, has sanctioned bullet train projects connecting major cities, including Chennai, Pune, and Bengaluru, via Telangana.Over the past 27 months, 595 km of roads and 51 bridges have been completed at a cost of 1,035 crore. In addition, 323 km of roads and 16 bridges have been completed with an expenditure of 485 crore.The proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR), Hyderabad – Vijayawada six-lane expansion, Amaravati – Bandar Port greenfield expressway, and the Srisailam elevated corridor are among the major projects expected to give a significant boost to the state’s economy, he added.
