CHENNAI: BJP state secretary Karate R Thiagarajan said the TN BJP will take the protest against DMK MP A Raja to the next level. Recently, Raja made an alleged controversial remark against union home minister Amit Shah following which the TN BJP staged protests in Chennai at seven places.BJP functionaries led by Karate Thiagarajan protested in Thiruvalluvar nagar near Thiruvanmiyur but they were denied permission and were detained by the police. They were taken to a nearby marriage hall. Karate Thiagarajan while speaking to the functionaries in the hall said the TN BJP will continue the protest against Raja.“We will not stop here. We will take it to the next level and will show the DMK that such remarks against Amit Shah will not be taken lightly,” Thiagarajan said.Recalling his stint as deputy Mayor of Chennai under chief minister M K Stalin, who was then the Chennai Mayor, said, “I have undertaken several protests daringly against the administrators when I was deputy Mayor. I will meet (BJP state president) Nainar Nagenthran and will take steps to take forward the protest to the next level.”
