The actor, after the hit horror thriller film, will be taking on a contrasting role in ‘Swapped’, an upcoming animated film. As the trailer dropped online, the famed actor had an adorable way of unveiling the first look, which included his niece and nephew as well.

The OTT platform where the film will be released shared an update about the trailer recently on their social media account. The post read, “Michael B. Jordan (and his niece and nephew ) introduce the new trailer for SWAPPED. Premiering May 1.”The trailer begins with Jordan sitting side by side with his niece and nephew as they introduce the film. His niece also ends the segment on a positive note and comments, “We hope you like it!”The trailer begins and shows views of a beautiful and plush valley, filled with all kinds of creatures, though Ollie and Ivy continue to fight. As they continue, they accidentally fall onto a glowing plant, and the next moment, their bodies have been swapped. The trailer continues to show the two finally joining hands to figure out what is happening and try to get back to their bodies. On the way, they discover that they are the only ones who can save the valley from an impending danger. From sworn enemies to partners, the light-hearted tale explores themes of friendship, forgiveness, and belonging.
Plot of ‘Swapped’
The upcoming animated film follows the story of a woodland creature and a bird who have sworn that they are enemies. However, one fine day, they both wake up and realise that their bodies have been swapped. In this ‘Freaky Friday’-esque comedy animated film, Ollie and Ivy must navigate their new reality and take on brand new adventures as they try to undo whatever has happened before it is too late. Other than the ‘Black Panther’ actor, the film also stars Juno Temple as the lead playing Ivy, along with Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, Ambika Mod, Justina Machado, Lolly Adefope, and many others. It is slated for release on 1 May 2026 on Netflix. It has been directed by Nathan Greno, who is known for his work in ‘Tangled’, ‘Bolt’, and ‘Meet the Robinsons.’
