Pune: Subhasis Das, Managing Director and Cluster President of Alfa Laval India Pvt Ltd, has been appointed Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Pune Zonal Council for 2026–27. The announcement was made at the 26th Annual Meeting held on February 25, the industry body said in a statement.At Alfa Laval, Das has been steering initiatives centred on decarbonisation, energy efficiency and circularity across industries.Meanwhile, Nitin Mittal, founder and MD of Knest Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, has been nominated Vice Chairman of CII. Since 2014, he has expanded the firm from a 5,000 sqft unit into a multinational enterprise with 10 lakh sqft manufacturing capacity and an upcoming facility in Riyadh.
