Patna: Abhinav Kumar and Nabhya Singh were elected as prefect (boy) and prefect (girl) respectively of the ICSE wing of International School, while Prachita Kumari was appointed prefect of the CBSE wing. They were given charge during the investiture ceremony and handover of posts by the outgoing cabinet bench (2026-27) at the school campus.Directress Farhat Hasan highlighted the significance of the occasion, saying that the ceremony marks the formal induction of new student council members. She described it as a milestone where young leaders are entrusted with upholding the school’s values and inspiring their peers.Nahid Alam, principal of the CBSE wing, congratulated the newly elected members and thanked the outgoing cabinet for their contributions, noting that the school would always remember their efforts. The new appointees took the oath of office, pledging dedication to the school’s progress.Drama workshop: A theatrical performance marked the conclusion of a 21-day drama workshop at Anugrah Narayan College, Patna. Mohan Rakesh’s acclaimed play “Ashadh Ka Ek Din” was staged at the Satyendra Narayan Sinha Auditorium. The event was jointly organised by the postgraduate Hindi department of the college and the department of art, culture and youth, govt of Bihar.Upendra Prasad Singh, vice-chancellor of Patliputra University, presided over the programme. Tripurari Sharan, Bihar’s state information commissioner, attended as the chief guest. Ruby, director (cultural affairs), department of art and culture, and senior Hindi poet Alok Dhanwa were present as special guests.Sharan said drama acts as a mirror to society and such events help promote creativity and cultural awareness among the youth. Ruby emphasised that theatre keeps cultural traditions alive and connects the new generation with its roots.
