Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. has acted as legal counsel to a group of lenders led by Standard Chartered Bank on a senior secured project financing transaction worth INR 2,623.20 crore.
The financing has been extended to Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Limited for the development of a renewable energy transmission project in Madhya Pradesh.
The lending group included Standard Chartered Bank as the lead arranger, along with YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Union Bank of India and Punjab National Bank.
Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission project is part of the central government’s broader strategy to strengthen the ISTS network for renewable integration, especially in states like Madhya Pradesh, which is emerging as a major solar hub.
