Dibrugarh: Union minister of ports, shipping & waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday congratulated the public after India became the world’s fourth-largest economy, attributing the historic milestone to PM Narendra Modi‘s “astute, dynamic and strong leadership” since 2014.Speaking at a ‘Mann Ki Baat‘ listening event and Tiranga Yatra at Booth No. 112 in West Mandal, Dibrugarh, the MP called upon citizens to commit themselves to nation-building and work toward realising Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.“PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has consistently inspired the citizens of the nation through transformative ideas and stories of courage from across the country. Listening to today’s address once again left me inspired. The PM has urged all citizens to dedicate themselves to building a developed and self-reliant India,” Sonowal said.“Under his leadership, India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy. We must commit ourselves to taking this journey of growth and prosperity to even greater heights and ultimately achieve Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he added.During the Tiranga Yatra, which was organised to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, Sonowal paid tribute to India’s armed forces. The minister took time to interact with rickshaw pullers and labourers along the route, acknowledging their contributions to society.Later, Sonowal unveiled a life-size statue of Matak King Swargadeo Sarbananda Singha at Koilabari in Chabua. The ceremony was graced by the presence of community members, dignitaries and cultural leaders.
