Jaipur: A campaign to conserve and plant khejri trees was unveiled at the National Agro RE Summit, which sought to create strategies for environmental conservation by powering agriculture with renewable energy.Jointly introduced by the Rajasthan Solar Association (RSA) and the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), the ‘Khejri Se Kal’ initiative aims to conserve the state tree of Rajasthan while promoting sustainable farming practices powered by clean energy.Union minister Pralhad Joshi and minister of state Shripad Yesso Naik presented a plant to Nitin Agarwal, CEO of RSA, which was planted to mark the beginning of a wider conservation effort.The initiative will roll out large-scale plantation drives, awareness programmes, and agro-renewable energy models, highlighting the message that ecological conservation and clean energy can progress together.By linking khejri preservation with renewable energy adoption, RSA and NSEFI hope to create a model for climate-resilient agriculture and a greener future.
