Hazaribag: A special investigation team (SIT) led by SDPO B N Prasad has been formed to crack the alleged rape and murder case of a 12-year-old girl whose body was found in Hazaribag district on Wednesday.Hazaribag SP Anjani Anjan said that other members in SIT will be SDPO (headquarters) Amit Kumar, a trainee IPS and officers in-charge of three police stations. Prasad said there has been no breakthrough in the probe so far and the post-mortem report is also awaited. A forensic team was also pressed into service along with the dog squad to gather clues. Another police officer claimed that the girl’s family members were not co-operating with police. The mother of the girl has lodged an FIR against unidentified persons with whom the family had enmity relating to land dispute. State BJP president Aditya Sahu on Thursday said that he will visit the site and meet the girl’s family on Friday.
