LOCATION
Sindhudurg, the southernmost district of Maharashtra, is located on the west coast of India. It spans 15°37′N–16°40′N latitudes and 73°19′E–74°13′E longitudes. Kolhapur borders it to the east, Ratnagiri to the north, while the Arabian Sea forms its western edge. Karnataka and Goa lie to the south, and the district enjoys a coastline of roughly 121 km.
