Hyderabad: The Siddipet commissioner of police, on Sunday, warned that cases would be registered against anyone involved in the illegal transportation of sand.CP Rashmi Perumal urged citizens to use the govt-launched ‘Mana Isuka Vahanam’ initiative for sand booking.The Mana Isuka Vahanam scheme was introduced to make the sand supply process in the district more transparent and corruption-free, and to make it more accessible to ordinary people.“District residents can now book sand directly online, eliminating the need for middlemen,” said Perumal.Those looking to book sand will have to visit the official website (https://tgmiv.cgg.gov.in), register, and submit an application. After paying the prescribed fee, the application will be verified by the respective village panchayat secretary and tahsildar before the sand is sanctioned.Police said that sand rates must be paid according to the prices fixed by the Telangana govt.
