New Delhi: Is there any local civic or infrastructure issue troubling you, but you don’t know whom to approach? If your answer is in the affirmative, LG Listening Post is here to help.Lieutenant governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has invited Delhiites to directly share grievances through the LG Listening Post platform. The complaints can be registered via website (https://listeningpostdelhilg.in/), mobile app (LG Listening Post) or email (lggc.delhi@nic.in).A dedicated cell in the LG secretariat will handle the complaints. The move is expected to revive and upgrade the long-defunct LG Listening Post app, originally launched in 2007 under Tejendra Khanna, to address genuine public issues more effectively.“Your voice matters, and we are committed to listening with sensitivity and responding with care. You may submit your concerns through the official website, mobile app, or via email for timely and appropriate redressal,” Sandhu said in a post on X.LG has addressed many grievances concerning MCD, DDA, DSSSB and other agencies that were brought to his notice by various individuals and groups on social media platforms over the past few weeks. He has also been visiting several areas and addressing local complaints. An official said that despite many grievances and complaints being vested agenda’s driven, there were many that were genuine. “These were addressed immediately to the complainants’ satisfaction. Many such complaints, though posted by individuals, represented a large number of people and their redressal solved long-standing problems,” the official added.“Once a complaint is received, the same is immediately registered on www.listeningpostdelhilg.in and a grievance number is sent to the complainant on his/her mobile phone through SMS. Simultaneously, the complaint is forwarded to nodal officers of the department(s) concerned for taking necessary action. Once a grievance is redressed by the department(s) concerned, an auto-generated SMS is sent to the complainant with the request to check the status and submit feedback,” explained the official.“The latest version of the mobile app has already been republished in Google Play Store. Users should download and install the latest app,” the official added. Some of the common complaints addressed on the platform include public health, blockage of sewer, waterlogging, unclean dhalao, fire hazard, electricity fault, water supply, accidents, building collapse, road repair, park maintenance and unauthorised construction.
