Thane: Police arrested a serial burglar from Titwala who allegedly carried out nearly 50 house break-ins across Thane’s suburbs eluding police attention for over three years, stealing gold collectively worth about Rs 1.3 crore. The accused targeted residential pockets in Mumbra and Diva, focusing on ground-floor homes with no CCTV or security guards around. “He used to break in through washroom windows and decamp with loot he could fit into his clothes,” said DCP Amarsinh Jadhav.
