Sanofi India has appointed Sudipta Chakraborty as additional director and whole-time director effective March 1, 2026 for a 3-year term, subject to shareholder approval. Prior to joining Sanofi as general counsel in June 2025, Chakraborty was the vice president of group legal & compliance at Aditya Birla Group.
Chakraborty comes with over 20 years of experience and holds expertise in mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring and antitrust laws, corporate governance and compliance, intellectual property laws, pharmaceutical and FMCG sector specific laws, privacy and technology laws, ethics, business integrity and investigations, labour laws and taxation laws.
Chakraborty will lead Sanofi‘s legal function, compliance and governance frameworks, and IP strategy amid evolving healthcare regulations. She will be designated key managerial personnel and a senior management personnel of Sanofi India.
This appointment forms part of a board refresh announced alongside the company’s Q4 and full-year 2025 financial results, which also includes resignation of non-executive director Rodolfo Hrosz, who exits on February 28, and the appointment of Rajani Kesari, former CFO of Nayara Energy, as new independent director (effective April 1).
