Thiruvananthapuram: Vizhinjam police on Sunday arrested Abdul Rahman alias Nathan, 31, of Vizhinjam in connection with the assault of a middle-aged man who questioned him for consuming alcohol in public.The incident occurred on Feb 18 in front of a temple, where Rahman was allegedly drinking alcohol. Police said Anil Kumar, a native of Pullurkonam, questioned this. Following it, Rahman reportedly got into a heated argument with Kumar. During the argument, Rahman assaulted Kumar. Kumar then filed a complaint at Vizhinjam police station, following which police registered a case and arrested Rahman who was absconding since then. Police said Rahman is listed in the rowdy history sheet of Vizhinjam police station.
