Hyderabad: The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) ordered a realty developer to pay a penalty of Rs 3,000 per day for non-compliance with its earlier order in a complaint filed by Ch Venkateswara Rao of Khajaguda, Hyderabad. The complaint related to the project — Green Space Bagiratha — at Aurangabad village in Medak district, with a total layout extent of 4 acres. The complainant sought completion of the project as per brochure norms, obtaining NOC, and display of the DTCP draft layout plan with TLP number.
TGRERA recorded that the respondent failed to remit the penalty amount within 30 days of the earlier order dated July 30, 2025. It said a notice dated Sept 10, 2025, directing payment was also not complied with. The authority further noted the complainant’s application dated Nov 8, 2025, stating that development works remained incomplete and statutory directions were not implemented. It also recorded that no documentary proof was filed to show completion of development works, and no proof of rectification of shortfalls in the project registration process was placed on record.TGRERA said the respondent neither sought an extension of time nor gave reasons for the delay. It also recorded that despite the service of a show-cause notice dated Nov 22, 2025, under Section 63 of the Act, the respondent neither appeared nor filed a reply.Holding the default to be continuing and wilful, TGRERA ordered payment of Rs 3,000 per day of default until compliance or until the penalty reached 5% of the estimated project cost, whichever was earlier.
