Prayagraj: As floodwaters gradually subside in the Ganga and Yamuna, relief operations continue across affected areas in Prayagraj. The district administration continues to identify impacted localities and maintain relief operations. According to the administration, several wards and localities across Sadar, Meja, Phulpur, and Karchhana have reported impacts. In Sadar, 10 mohallas, including Kachhar Mau/Saraiya, Rajapur Deh Mafi and Asadullapur, are among the most affected. Meja reported 12 affected villages such as Maheba, Dhenagurpur and Hadiya, while Phulpur and Karchhana reported four and two villages, respectively.Currently, 43 families are residing in flood relief camps while another 43 families have shifted to safer locations on their own. As many as 220 individuals are staying in camps with an equal number taking shelter elsewhere. There were no reports of crop or population damage, nor any disruptions in movement due to the floods. However, 18 villages experienced restricted mobility due to waterlogging, with affected areas spread across Meja, Phulpur and Karchhana, said the Prayagraj administration.Ten localities in Sadar tehsil have been marked as population-affected due to high water levels, though no crop damage was reported there. A total of 95 flood relief camps have been identified across the district, of which two are currently active—Annie Besant School in Allenganj and Cantt Marriage Hall in Sadar Bazaar. Ongoing relief efforts include the operation of 19 boats. Authorities distributed 220 lunch packets and 50 ORS sachets. Additionally, 27 people received medical treatment.
