Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has announced that the re-examination for Assistant Professor recruitment will be conducted on April 18 and 19, across 53 centres in six cities, months after the previous exam was cancelled over allegations of paper leak and irregularities.According to the commission, the examination will be held in Agra, Meerut, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur and Varanasi.The re-exam will be conducted in two shifts on both days—morning session from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.The re-examination will cover candidates from multiple disciplines, including arts, science, commerce, languages and other subjects, with subject-wise scheduling across different shifts.Commission chairman Prashant Kumar said that candidates will be able to check advance information regarding their allotted exam district from April 8, through the official website. He clarified that this advance city intimation is not an admit card.Admit cards will be available for download from April 15, and candidates will not be allowed to appear in the examination without a valid hall ticket.The re-exam comes after UP govt cancelled the examination conducted in April 2025 following confirmed reports of large-scale irregularities and a question paper leak.Around 1.14 lakh candidates had appeared for the recruitment drive for 1,017 Assistant Professor posts in aided degree colleges across the state.
