Chandigarh: Dr Ravjot Singh assumed the charge as jails minister at the Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 here on Friday.After assuming office, Dr Ravjot Singh, who also holds the portfolios of NRI affairs and parliamentary affairs, convened a key meeting with senior officials of the jails department to review ongoing works, achievements and future plans.The minister said: “Focused efforts will be made to further streamline the functioning of the jails department.
