Gurgaon: Two people died in separate hit-and-run accidents. A 26-year-old man died while undergoing treatment after a Rapido bike he was travelling on was allegedly hit from behind by an unidentified four-wheeler near Bristol Chowk on Golf Course Road early Friday morning.The deceased was identified as Sujoe Chaudhary, who was working here. The Rapido bike rider, identified as Kalicharan, also sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Max Hospital, Sector 43.According to the complaint submitted to DLF Phase 1 police station by Sushant Dutta, cousin of the deceased and a resident of Faridabad, the family received information about the accident around 4 am.Dutta stated that his maternal aunt informed him over phone that Sujoe met with an accident while travelling towards his room in Gurgaon and requested him to reach the hospital.On reaching Max Hospital, Dutta was informed by the doctors about the victim’s death during the treatment while the bike rider was admitted in the Emergency Ward.Dutta later met the injured Rapido rider, Kalicharan, in the Emergency Ward. According to the complaint, Kalicharan told him that Sujoe booked his Rapido bike bearing registration number RJ05BO3536 from Iffco Chowk and they were proceeding towards DLF Phase 1.After crossing the Bristol Chowk red light and entering Golf Course Road, an unidentified four-wheeler allegedly struck the bike from behind, following which he lost consciousness.Police said information regarding the accident was received at the police station around 7 am through an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) on May 22, 2026. Acting on the information, ASI Manoj along with Constable Pradeep reached Max Hospital and collected the medico-legal records, death summary and related documents from the Emergency Ward.Police shifted the body to the local mortuary for the autopsy.During investigation, police also collected the MLC of injured rider Kalicharan. According to the FIR, doctors marked him as “LAMA” (Left Against Medical Advice).Following examination of the complaint, police registered a case under Sections 106 (causing death due to negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against an unknown driver at DLF Phase 1 police station.The investigation has been handed over to ASI Manoj. Investigators are now scanning CCTV footage from the Iffco Chowk-Bristol Chowk-Golf Course Road stretch to identify the offending vehicle involved in the alleged hit-and-run.In another case, a 55-year-old labourer from Uttar Pradesh died after being hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle near Pachgaon Chowk.The deceased was identified as Shyam Babu, a native of Village Dariyapur in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh, who was working as a labourer in Rewari district.According to the complaint lodged by his son, Mahant Babu, the accident took place around 11 am on May 21 near the Kharkhari cut close to Panchgaon bridge. Mahant Babu told police that his father was standing near the road divider at the cut leading towards Kharkhari when a vehicle coming from the Bilaspur side hit him at high speed.The complainant stated that he was present at the spot at the time of the accident and saw the vehicle strike his father before fleeing from the scene.Police said the impact caused severe injuries to the victim’s head, thighs and both legs. Shyam Babu died at the spot.On Friday, the body was handed to the kin post-autopsy.A case was registered under sections 281 and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against an unknown driver at Bilaspur police station.
