Ranchi: After achieving zero pendency of results, the Ranchi University (RU) administration is now focussing on conducting four under-graduate (UG) and one post-graduate examination by the first week of August.RU said all pending examination results have been declared, including the last bunch on May 22. The development comes at a time when all state-run varsities are facing challenges in regularising their academic sessions.Smriti Singh, the head of chemistry department at RU and its public relations officer, said, “Results of all the examinations held in the past six months have been published. Some of them were pending for long due to technical reasons. Under the special drive, the examinations of PG semester-II were conducted in March, and the results were out in the last week of April.”RU said the zero pendency of results was an unprecedented feat in the varsity’s recent history.“Since the new vice chancellor Saroj Sharma joined earlier this year, she held a series of meetings with the examination department and emphasised on publication of results,” Singh said.During the two-day meet of vice chancellors and registrars of universities on Friday, the idea of a common academic calendar for the entire state was also discussed.
