Ramgarh: Ramgarh has earned Rs 1,236 crore as mining revenue till date this fiscal. The revenue was 45 per cent above the target of Rs 1,193 crore given to Ramgarh by the state govt.Rangarh district mining officer (DMO) Nishant Abhishek said, “Ramgarh collected Rs 1,236 crore as mining revenue against the Rs 1,193 crore target in 11 months of the 2025-26 fiscal year ending on March 31. The revenue earned from mining in the 2024-25 fiscal year was Rs 862 crore.”A total of 59 FIRs related to illegal mining and transportation of minerals were lodged in police stations across the district, while 133 vehicles were seized and Rs 5 lakh fine was imposed on violators. A total of Rs 66.44 lakh was collected from auctioning of stone, said a department official.The mining revenue collected is separate from the mining revenue share for the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) for development of mining-affected villages. Ramgarh district collects an average of Rs 150 crore per annum for DMFT.
