Salem: PMK founder Dr Ramadoss fainted on Sunday after campaigning for Salem West constituency sitting MLA R Arul in Palapatty area.The incident occurred as soon as Ramadoss left the stage after delivering a special speech, requesting the people of Palapatty area to elect Arul from the seat for the second consecutive time. He suddenly fainted while being assisted by two volunteers, who were helping him to get to the vehicle to attend another public meeting at Muthunaickenpatty near Omalur. He was rushed to a private multi-specialty hospital near Five Road in Salem. Doctors, who treated him, told TOI that the cause was low blood pressure. “Ramadoss was treated promptly and is currently in good health. He also spoke with us and partymen,” said a doctor, requesting anonymity.
