Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Lokendra Singh Rathore, Man Singh Shekhawat, Ashlesh Panwar, and Virbhadra Singh have been selected in the Indian men’s team to participate in the fifth Open Central Asian Handball Championship, being held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from March 31 to April 5. The Indian men’s handball team arrived in Tashkent on Tuesday to participate in the six-day long tournament.Yash Pratap Singh, honorary secretary of Rajasthan State Handball Association, said that Lokendra Singh Rathore of Dausa, selected in the Indian team, plays on the left wing position, while Man Singh Shekhawat of Jaipur plays on the right back position. Ashlesh Panwar of Jaipur plays on the right wing position, while Virbhadra Singh of Banswara plays at centre back.Yash Pratap Singh added that all the four Rajasthan players have been doing quite well at the national-level competitions in the last few years.
