Jaipur: Govt school teachers in Rajasthan have written to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, demanding timely implementation of e-voucher schemes announced in state budget and alleging that poor execution has disrupted schools.Teachers said the e-voucher system was introduced to cut delays caused by tenders and allow funds to be given directly to students under various govt schemes. But they said implementation remains weak, with delays in distribution and complications in procurement turning classrooms into bicycle storage spaces instead of places for learning.Vipin Prakash Sharma, president of Rajasthan Primary and Secondary Teachers Association, said, “Girls enrolling in Class 9 often do not receive their bicycles even by the end of the academic session, while teachers are burdened with the additional responsibility of ensuring their security.”In the state budgets for 2022-23 and 2026-27, the govt announced that benefits such as tablets, laptops, bicycles, agricultural tools and assistive devices for persons with special needs would be delivered through the E-RUPI mechanism.
