Jaipur: Rajasthan has received around Rs 2,700 crore in central assistance in the last four months under key health schemes.The official statement released by the CMO said the amount was released under the 15th Finance Commission and forms a major portion of the nearly Rs 4,300 crore allocated to the state over the past five years.Under the National Health Mission (NHM), the Centre has released about Rs 2,398 crore for 2025-26, exceeding the approved outlay of Rs 2,383 crore and reflecting 100.61% utilisation. The state has received its highest-ever allocation of Rs 243 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).Medical and health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar said, “The record funding reflects the state govt’s commitment under the leadership of the chief minister to strengthen primary healthcare and expand health infrastructure across Rajasthan.”Principal secretary (Medical and Health) Gayatri Rathore said, “Funds received under the 15th Finance Commission have been utilised for strengthening infrastructure, including construction of sub-health centres, PHCs and CHCs, and expansion of diagnostic facilities in both rural and urban areas.”She added, “Expenditure under NHM has shown steady improvement over the years and has reached nearly 98 per cent in 2025-26, which is the highest so far.”
