Mangaluru: Rain accompanied by lightning and thunder lashed several parts of Dakshina Kannada, including Mangaluru city, on Saturday evening.Areas such as Belthangady, Ujire, Dharmasthala, Mundaje, Aldangady, and Guruvayanakere received intense showers. Strong winds damaged electricity poles in Ujire and Belthangady, resulting in power outages in several areas. Heavy rain was also reported in Sullia and surrounding areas.In Mangaluru, waterlogging on the Thokkottu flyover caused inconvenience to motorists, while puddles on the highway at Kallapu slowed down vehicular movement.
